Volunteers for research are always wanted

The School of Psychology, University of Nottingham is carrying out research into the effects of age on psychological processes. By helping us with some simple experiments you can play a part in helping us to understand how the brain works. This could help us understand how we can avoid the problems often associated with ageing.  This will not benefit you directly but may help others in the future.

If you are a student in the School of Psychology, University of Nottingham, you can take part via the Research Participation Scheme

We are always looking for people to help in our research. To take part you must be free from any neurological condition.

The studies take place on the University campus. There are multiple studies running at any one time and we will contact you to explain each study. Expressing an interest does not commit you to taking part in any specific study.

Most studies involve making a simple movement perhaps with your hands or eyes. Many involve watching patterns on a computer screen and making a judgment on them.

You can change your mind at any stage even after deciding to take part.  The studies will all have been approved by an ethical committee who look after the interests of participants in research.

If you agree to take part, all information about you will be kept strictly confidential.

If you are interested in taking part, or have any further questions, you can contact
